Good writing is good writing. Writing principles and techniques are broadly applicable to many types of communications, such as blog posts, online courses, or any type of creative writing project. That being said, different techniques are used more prominently in certain types of writing than others, and the most common structural differences between nonfiction and fiction will be covered. However, know that time limitations will prevent us from going into depth on certain elements of fiction, such as plot or character development.
